Community Engagement Officer

• Government Organisation – Artarmon
• 35-hour work week
• Rate is negotiable based on experience

Our client is seeking an experienced Community Development Officer to join their organisation on a temporary basis. There is also the opportunity to be considered for the permanent position if you are not immediately available in a contract capacity.  

The Role 

• Assist with the preparation of community engagement plans in collaboration with project teams
• Deliver face to face engagement activities such as drop-ins, surveys, workshops and other engagement techniques.
• Develop engagement materials and coordinate communications about engagement opportunities using appropriate channels.
• Manage and maintain the engagement website content, monitor data, and reporting.

About You

• Prior experience in Community Engagement is essential
• Experience in Local or State Government is essential
• Experience organising events and workshops
