The Australian division, based in the Norwest Business Park, has been growing strongly for many years and continues positively.

Through the past few years of strong growth, they’ve identified the need for creating a new Operations Manager position to help them with their drive for continuous improvement.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the Senior Leadership Team in Australia, this is a key role in the organisation’s continuing growth plans. There is a progressive and transformative agenda that’s being welcomed and championed by staff onsite here.

You’ll oversee their critical divisions of Warehousing and Logistics, Inventory, Technical and Customer Service. Each team has highly experienced team members who are extremely supportive of this new role.

Your goal is to review and optimise operational functions including processes, systems and gap identification, implementing improvements and efficiencies.

Your tasks and duties will include:

  • Oversee daily operations of Warehousing/Distribution, Logistics & Inventory Management, Technical & Customer Service, with a focus on safety and compliance
  • Ensuring efficient warehouse workflows and adherence to targets for excellent servicing of customers (delivery timelines, servicing turnarounds etc)
  • Compliance oversight for ESG initiatives and required reporting, also the regulatory compliance for the medical nature of their devices and products
  • Guiding, developing and mentoring your team to help hone their skills, looking at succession planning and professional development opportunities, leading the teams through change and leveraging their experience and knowledge
  • Reporting and analysis of the operations, providing regular updates and reports to the Managing Director

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, operations, and warehouse/logistics with a history of success – experience medical products is a bonus but NOT essential
  • Collaborative, positive and engaging leadership skills – previous experience of bringing people along for the change journey
  • A track record of achieving continuous improvement and efficiencies, along with demonstrated examples of successful change management including systems and procedures
  • Leadership and team management skills, a hands-on and engaging approach - this is a role for a ‘do-er’ who brings teams together
  • A desire to take on a key role in a business that directly and positively impacts the health outcomes of their customers – you will be helping to improve the quality of life for people
