Senior Building Surveyor

• Temporary Part-time – 2 or 3 days - 14 to 21 hours a week
• Immediate start with excellent hourly rate
• Picton Location

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a Government organisation based in Picton area for a 6-month temporary part-time contract starting immediately. You can work 2 to 3 days - 14 to 21 hours a week.

The position will involve working with a small team of Building Surveyors to undertake building inspections in line with Government policies and legislative frameworks relating to Building Surveying, Building Certification and Planning matters.

The Role

• Assessment and determination of development applications as required.
• Assessment and determination of construction certificates, complying development certificates and occupation certifications
• Carrying out inspections of works under construction
• Investigation of complaints, report writing and compilation of evidence.
• Administration and adhoc tasks as required

About You

• Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Health and Building, Building Surveying or a related field
• Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Surveyor – Restricted (Calss 1 and 10 buildings)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume environment
