Cancer Council Relay For Life
At Norwest and Southwest Recruitment, supporting the Cancer Council Hills Relay for Life has become a meaningful tradition and a cornerstone of our commitment to making a difference in the community. We started raising money for Cancer through this fun, local event about 6 years ago at the suggestion of a staff member affected by cancer. It was a very easy charity to get staff engagement with because sadly, it’s hard not to be touched somehow by cancer in most people’s lives.
We started off our journey with the aim of raising money and like so many things in life, the actual reality of it was just so much bigger and better then we expected. The Hills Relay for Life has become such an inherent part of our internal culture; it’s so good for staff morale. It helps people feel part of their community, brings work colleagues together and makes them feel worthwhile.
